Welcome to AAA Travel Agent Training Center On-line Career Education Program.  You are about to enter the exciting world of travel and learn the many skills required to become successful in this field.  Becoming a travel agent is not an easy task. A travel agent has to be very knowledgeable and our course will get you started with the basic information you will need.  You will find however, learning never stops in this business and is one of the many reasons people are enjoying this field.

On-line career education is very different from a traditional classroom setting.   It takes self-discipline, determination and a commitment on your part to complete this extensive program. This program is designed to train you how to become a travel agent with the option of pursuing a career with a travel agency or the knowledge to open your own home-based travel business.  Opening your own business also requires self-discipline, determination and the commitment to succeed so you are an ideal candidate for this course.

Our program consists of the following courses and can be purchased in modules or you can purchase the complete course package for a discounted rate.

If you are going to purchase individual modules, we suggest to take them in order.  If you want a good solid overview of the travel industry and travel agent skills, Module I will be a good start for you.

If you are already working in the travel industry and considering opening  your own home-based travel agency, then Module IV will walk you through the steps.

Learn how to book air, cars and hotels in a Computer Reservation System

This module is optional but recommended for students interested in pursuing a career working with a travel agency or airline.  Agencies utilize the GDS (Global Distribution Systems) for booking air, cars, hotels, cruises, tours and packages and invoicing.  However, more and more travel suppliers are offering on-line booking for travel agents. If you are planning on starting a home-based travel business, this module is not necessary. To learn more about computer reservation training click here!

Realistic schedule: Study 5 hours per week, complete course in 5 months
(20 Weeks)

Manageable schedule: Study 10 hours per week, complete course in 2½ months
(10 Weeks) 

Aggressive schedule: Study 20 hours per week, complete course in 1½ months
(5 Weeks)

These are suggested schedules.  Once you enroll in the program, The Travel Agent Training Center will offer you support for six months at which time you should have completed all courses. You will be notified of the dates your support from The Travel Agent Training Center will be offered. If you do not complete the course within the six months time frame and you require additional support, you can purchase additional support hours.
